Karen is a Licensed Associate Counselor under the supervision of Melissa Cook, MS, LPC-S, RPT (AR # P2112013), with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and 26 years of experience as a special education teacher. Her background in education has given her deep insight into the emotional and behavioral challenges people face across different stages of life.
Karen specializes in grief counseling and is passionate about helping clients navigate loss in all its forms-whether through death, divorce, or life changes. Karen helps clients navigate anxiety, grief, life transitions, and relationship concerns, offering a safe place for healing and growth.
Karen’s counseling approach is compassionate, grounded, and focused on helping individuals gain an understanding of themselves. She provides a safe, supportive space where clients can process emotions, build coping skills, and move toward healing and personal growth.
In her free time, Karen enjoys pickleball, mahjong, reading, camping, and spending time with her family and their three dogs.
