Addison Stewart is a Licensed Associate Counselor under the supervision of Carla Wood, M.S., LPC-S (#P0708041). She works with a wide range of individuals ages 3+. Addison is trained in different evidence-based modalities including Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, EMDR, and AutPlay. Her areas of focus include trauma, neurodivergent populations, behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and more. She utilizes different techniques to meet each individual where they are at and finds importance in having a unique approach for every person.
Addison is a firm believer in holistic principles and enjoys integrating different things into therapy to promote mind-body healing. Her practice is grounded in Gestalt and Psychodynamic
theories.
Addison has served her former University by being a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant throughout her college career. She is passionate about helping others understand themselves better through the use of psychoeducation. She manages a local therapeutically based training company, Playful Connections Sandtray Institute, where she assists in educating others in the mental health field. She frequently participates in trainings and enjoys presenting at all levels.
Outside of therapy, Addison can be found spending time with friends/family, listening to all things true crime, playing with her four animals, reading, or binge watching reality tv shows.
