Melissa believes healing begins with connection. She helps children, teens, adults, couples, and families strengthen relationships, understand emotions, and rediscover their sense of safety and belonging.
Her approach blends play therapy and attachment-based work to meet each client where they are. Whether supporting a child through big feelings, helping teens find their footing, guiding parents through challenging moments, walking with adults through life transitions, or supporting couples during difficult times, Melissa offers empathy and practical tools for lasting change.
In addition to her work at Olive Tree, Melissa provides clinical supervision for counselors in both Texas and Arkansas. She serves as a Board Member for the Arkansas Association for Play Therapy and is a 2025 graduate of the Association for Play Therapy’s Leadership Academy. She also presents workshops for couples, parents, and educators.
A Texarkana native, Melissa has been serving the community since 2018. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and being outdoors.
