Wellness Coordinator
Brittany is a personal yoga instructor, who is certified to teach children, teens, and adults. She teaches yoga as a holistic mind-body practice, which cultivates physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. She specializes in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, a style of yoga used to help trauma survivors find stability and peace in their everyday lives. Brittany’s style of teaching is an excellent complement to the treatment of anxiety, stress, and depression. Utilizing mindfulness practice, conscious breathing, and intentional movement, she describes yoga as a potentially life-changing modality of self-care.
Brittany is a 200-hour certified Hatha yoga teacher. Her first training was completed with Purple Lotus Yoga of Addison, Texas, a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. She is also a certified Yoga Fit Kids Instructor. She has over 600 hours of teaching experience since 2018, comprised of individual sessions, group classes, special topic workshops, and volunteer classes with local schools and nonprofit groups.
A full-time student at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Brittany is working toward a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences. Her passions are teaching yoga, personal growth, and raising her three children to be kind and loving adults.
